St. Louis hotel they own once barred black people.

Just as impressive was how well behaved her children are. They sat alone with no adult supervision...just like lttle adults. There was no horseplay, no clowning around, no running around. When I asked her how she did it, Harper said with 7 kids, she had no choice. She decided early on that she wasn't going to spend her every waking hour screaming and threatening and chasing kids around the house. So she set out right away to teach them how to behave.
